PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Psychotherapy Training Institute (PTI) provides high-quality services in three primary branches: clinical supervision, continuing education and certification. These services support mental health professionals, including but not limited to: counsellors, psychotherapists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, occupational therapists, and psychologists. This company started as a result of limited options in the professional field. For example, supervision services offered through PTI are not available anywhere in Canada. Our company brings innovative solutions for Canadian clinical practitioners. This project focuses on communication and receives ongoing reports from a SEO team. This is an opportunity to bring your ideas to a start-up that is changing the face of service options for mental health providers across Canada! KEY PROJECT ACTIVITIES: This project will be focused on market research on PTI's 3 primary services: (1) Clinical Supervision, (2) Certifications, and (3) Continuing Education or Training. Students will solve the current communication challenge that PTI faces as a new company offering services that did not previously exist in Canada. IDEAL ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Possible Roles would include Project Manager/Team Lead; Researcher; Analyst, Coordinator Students will: · Develop a full communications strategy with content that addresses key areas · Develop communication that provides brand alignment, customer alignment and budget alignment · Define impact and drafting impact reports · Define success metrics for all communication channels · Create communication content that drives higher customer engagement · Students will present a communication strategy through data visualization to that enhances brand recognition (linked to final project deliverable) FINAL PROJECT DELIVERABLES: Students will translate data and insights created by the team to present a detailed visual report. Students will focus primarily on data visualization with action-oriented recommendations, methodologies and plans for PTI’s next steps. The team will record this data visualization presentation, submitting the recording and documents to the company owners. Market research will serve as the foundation for company development. This is an opportunity to bring your ideas to a start-up that is changing the face of service options for mental health providers across Canada! KEY PROJECT ACTIVITIES: This project will be focused on market research on PTI's 3 primary services: (1) Clinical Supervision, (2) Certifications, and (3) Continuing Education or Training. Ideally, two student teams will be working together where the Market Research team will communicate research findings and reports to support the Marketing Strategies team. IDEAL ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Possible Roles would include Project Manager/Team Lead; Researcher; Analyst, Coordinator Students will: Collect complex data/information and strategically analyze current market trends on potential customers and competitors. Collect qualitative and quantitative data (i.e. surveys, focus groups, third-party research, etc) that aids in a foundation for future company development (i.e., marketing, pricing strategies, communications, SEO plans and social media strategies). Conduct and present research on existing and new opportunities to expand PTI’s services, service delivery, communication plans, pricing strategies. Communicate findings by analyzing and displaying data in report templates, develop business cases that support the company’s strategy and sustain the competitive advantage of PTI. Conduct recruit and facilitate focus groups, as well as develop customers and competitor profiles. Conduct internal and external research to collaborate with marketing and communications to develop service positioning and messaging that resonates with PTI’s target customer profiles. Create compelling copies and other communication tools that can be used for marketing.
