Final Art Additions/Game Design
We will require 5 teams (15 students) Adding the final art touch ups to the game. Making menu art (Main menu, lose/win screen, etc), polished UI and character abilities. As well as making time to complete any missing aspects or adding anything that students feel should be in the game. Students will make sure the visuals for the game come together neatly to make the final product visually appealing To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: work closely with the CEO of the company and the game design team examine the entire game prototype and make constructive suggestions to the team create a list of issues and find a solution to the issue
Game Demo Development Polish
We need 5 teams (15 students) Go over every part that has been completed and polish it so that the flow and feeling of moving through menus as well as playing the game feels the best it can. The base game demo will be completed, and this time will be used only to improve it. We will have rapid iteration as well as some internal user testing. This project also serves as a buffer if the previous projects go overtime. Students need the skills to read and debug code as well as a good knowledge of C# and Unity To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: work closely with the CEO and the game design team examine the work that has been created and be critical of all aspects of the game provide useful feedback on where the game needs improvement use their game design skills to improve the game and make suggestions on how to do so
New Character Development
We are looking for 5 teams (15 students) Students will work together to finish another playable character as well as working on recolouring models to have different player options. This will be a similar process to a previous project, however, the same rig and animations will be used to save time on this model. Students will work together to complete another model in a reasonable amount of time. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: work closely with the CEO and the game design team use their artistic skills to create another character use their research skills on character development in order to improve their work
Training Mode Development
We are looking for 5 teams (15 students) Research ways other games integrate a duel style tutorial system. Create a training tutorial mode to let players improve their skills before going into PVP. Continue development of the tutorial based on internal feedback. Students need to know how to use Unity as well as basic knowledge of tutorialization. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: work closely with the CEO and the game design team use their research skills to conduct secondary research create wires specific to a training tutorial for a game
Game Ready Character, starting animations, and prop modelling
We need 5 groups (15 students) Completing animations and replacing them with the placeholders. Artists will test animations to make sure they are fluid and comprehensible to players and will work on final touch ups to achieve this. The environment modelling, uv unwrapping, and texturing will also be completed. Artists will use props to build the background/world of the game. Students will make sure the final art products look cohesive and aesthetically pleasing. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: work closely with the CEO and the game design team ask questions for clarification use their creativity and animation skills to bring their characters to life
Network Programming/Game Design
We need 5 groups (15 students) Research various networking libraries for Unity and decide on one for the game. Students will then spend time learning the chosen library and implementing it in the game. Students will need to conduct research and have knowledge of the C# programming language as well as the Unity game engine and basic networking concepts. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: use their research skills work closely with the game design team and the CEO throughout the project ask questions when they need clarification work diligently with the team

We are looking for 5 teams (15 students) Complete the entirety of the 3D character including texturing, rigging, and deformation testing, as well as starting character animations, testing character animations, and finalizing prop base meshes. Students will need knowledge in 3D modelling and texturing software as well as knowledge in animation principles. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: work closely with the game design team and use their characters to do the 3D character ensure that the character's features are true to what the designers have created use their knowledge of design to produce character animations
Difficulty and AI Programming/Game Design
We are looking for 5 teams (15 students) Research how skill level is determined in other games. Design the difficulty system using an elo system to track players' skill. Develop the AI to more accurately challenge the player. Iterate on the difficulty system based on testing. Students will need knowledge of other elo systems and of how the AI should interact with the player. Knowledge of C# programming and Unity is also required. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: conduct secondary research with regards to other games work closely with our game design team in order to understand the game mechanics determine the best way to integrate AI into the game
Character Sculpting and Environmental Art
We are looking for 5 teams (15 students) Complete the sculpt of the first illustrated character with all distinguishing features, retopologize the character sculpt, grab mixamo character with animations as placeholder art for programmers, and draft up final illustrations of the environment / props. Students will need knowledge on how to sculpt organic shapes, retopologize the sculpt, and have a good understanding of composition and color theory. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: work closely with the game design team and examine their work and research use their creativity to bring the characters to life ask questions to the game design team about the concept and follow the agile process
Menu and Game Play Programming
We are looking for 5 teams (15 students) Further the development of the core prototypes gameplay as well as add setting and menu functionality. The initial prototypes will have been completed by this time and students working on the project will make the necessary changes to improve the concepts and prototypes. Creativity and staying true to the game's overall structure is critical. Students will need to know the functionality of the Unity UI components and how they interact with each other. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: work closely with the game design team and review the work already done with the core prototypes determine any changes that need to be made with regards to the gameplay offer ideas on how to improve the concept and features of the game
Research, thumbnailing and character art
We are looking for 5 teams (15 students) Create a comprehensive direction for the environment, setting, and characters that the game will have. Artists will have to research and sketch similar real world settings and characters to determine the best possible design choices for such an environment. Students will need a good understanding of anatomy, composition, and color theory as well as having knowledge in using a digital drawing software of their choice. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: research various game genres develop the environment, settings and characters with the game design team develop various concepts for characters
Complete Combat Prototype
We are looking for 5 teams (15 students in total) A rapid prototyping runthrough of the combat system in the game. Researching techniques used in fighting games to get a better idea of where the prototype can improve. Updating the current prototype based on research and feedback. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: complete more research on the combat system conduct interviews as part of your primary research examine combat games that are currently on the market do a rapid prototype of the combat system. Students will need a basic understanding of how Unity works as well as knowledge of C# programming language.
UX/UI Design Landing Page/Micro Site for Game
We are looking for 24 students or 8 teams to work on the project. Project: We are in the process of building a digital Math game that we will be launching in September. In order to prepare for the launch, we are looking for students to create user stories, persona creation, sitemapping, and wireframing for our landing page. By having the landing page, we will be able to better promote the game once it is completed. Skills: UX Skills - User Stories, Research, Persona Creation, Writing, Sitemapping, Wireframing and Usability Testing. Knowledge of Front-end coding HTML, CSS & JavaScript and SEO Best Practices an asset. Time: 80hrs over several weeks. Work with EduShare's Director, marketing and video game art teams to create a landing page to promote an in-development educational video game. Outcome: a fully functioning landing page to help promote an educational video game.
UX/UI Design - Wireframing for Custom Registration
We’re looking for UX/UI talent! Do you have a background or interest in user experience design or user interface design? We are looking for 24 students to work on the project or 8 teams. Project: For this project, we are looking for students who can help with onboarding clients to our website. Some of the features we'd like to have when clients are onboarded would be: name, email, location, subject area. As well, we have Stripe as a payment option and need to have a better design for how clients pay for services and what options they have. For example, purchasing one session at a time, purchasing multiple session, getting a rebate for 10 sessions booked, etc. All of these features need to be discussed in detail with the CEO. Once the necessary features are determined, students are to work on sitemappiong, wireframing and testing. Skills: UX Skills - User Stories, Research, Sitemapping, Wireframing and Usability Testing. General Knowledge of WordPress CMS Time: 80hrs over several weeks. Work with EduShare's Director, Project Manager and Technical Team to design a UX experience for a custom class registration system. The student will create an M.V.P interactive prototype that can be tested remotely and collect user data for further improvements. Outcome An interactive Figma prototype and initial usability data set.
Digital Content Creation - Worksheet Creator
Number of individual students required: 10 students We would like students to help us with creating a digital solution for creating worksheets for a math course. The students will work closely with the CEO of EduShare in order to create a document outlining the requirements for the worksheet creator as well as the wireframes that can then be given to developers to create. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: Meet regularly with the CEO of the company Research the current worksheet creators that are on the market Identify the functionality of the worksheet creator Determine the scope for the Minimal Viable Product for a worksheet creator The work that the students do will lay the foundation for a digital tool that can be used by teachers and students and help them with Mathematics. Students with UI/UX and software development would be ideal.
Brand Identity and Graphic Design
We are looking for 5 teams of 5 students. We are looking for a creative team capable of creating digital and non-digital assets that can help promote our newest offering, EduTutor. EduTutor is an online group tutoring social venture that helps students in Grades 7/8 get a preview of Grade 9 Math. Many students entering high school have Math anxiety and worry about whether or not they will be ready for Grade 9 Math. The pandemic has only worsened the issue. Our project requires students to determine the best course of action based on the company needs and the skills that the students have. The project can include, but not be limited to: -Logo improvement -Posters -Digital and non-digital flyers -A white paper with design layout -Improvements to our website -Other suggestions created by the students that will help promote EduTutor Students will work directly with the founder of the company throughout the project. Communication is key so students are expected to be available for meetings.

Positions available: 5 teams of 3 students each We are looking to gain a better understanding of out target market to ensure we are positioning ourselves in the right segment, offering effective benefits, and creating the best marketing messages. To accomplish this, you could focus on providing: A complete analysis of our current offerings, our target market, and the positioning of our brand. Conducting empirical interviews and/or questionnaires for feedback on our brand, product, service, etc. Executing further market research to develop a comprehensive report of our target market. We will provide you with access to organizational assets that support the project, including personnel, marketing strategies, marketing and sales collateral, etc. We hope to gain a comprehensive understanding of our target market and how we can better satisfy their needs. We would like recommendations on how to improve our positioning, brand, and products to better suit the market.
Online Teaching/Research of Mathematics Content
Positions available: 5 teams of 5 students We would like students to help us with creating content that is aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization. The idea candidate will be able to design and create better lessons, online sessions and worksheets that will help students learn Mathematics better. The candidate will work closely with elementary and high school students to improve their basic Math skills. Interviewing and asking questions to the students to ensure that the students understand the material will be critical to this project. Researching different teaching methods pertaining to online teaching will also help create worksheets that will help students learn various topics. Number of individual students required: 8 students It’s important for us to have a better understanding of how our target audience perceives our brand and competitors. We want to develop clarity on our competitive advantages and optimize our marketing strategy. This project will include: An identification of our current competitors An identification of potential future competitors (eg. a large company in a similar industry who may enter the space) The creation of a matrix identifying features shared across the companies and those that are different. A summary of 2-4 paragraphs describing our competitive advantages and disadvantages relative to the competition identified. This could be done in the form of a SWOT analysis and PESTLE analysis. We will give you access to organizational assets to support this project such as personnel, website analytics, sales and brand collateral, and more. We can suggest names of competitors to research. Objective We hope to gain a comprehensive understanding of the competitors in our space and how we can differentiate ourselves through our product/service offering, and our messaging.
New Product Design Insights & Prototype
Positions available: 5 teams of 4 persons We need creative and technical students who can design and test several prototypes for a mobile video game. The prototype can take various forms, from digital images, using UNITY or even cardboard cutouts. The prototyping project must take UI/UX into account in the design. We believe this project will require: Conducting interviews with potential customers or users. Researching existing products and market potential. Defining current needs and limitations for potential products. Developing a prototype of a recommended product design. The successful candidates will be able to present their prototypes on a weekly basis. We will follow the agile process and iterate many times. The final deliverables include: A report on the research, findings, and general design recommendations for the mobile game. A prototype of the recommended design for the mobile game.

Virtual Internship Opportunity: Game Design Document
Our organization is able to offer a virtual internship opportunity for 1 to 3 students. The primary focus for the student will be: Utilizing primary and secondary research to create the Game Design Document for creating an online educational Math game. Our goal at the end of this experience is: To have the students complete the Game Design Document which will provide specific details on Game Play, Avatar descriptions, backstories, platform suggestions and other information that will be required for a robust document. Positions available: one team of three students We are looking for enthusiastic students interested in examining UI/UX for an online educational game. The goal of this project is to have students prepare the roadmap for the game developers. As such, the team will work on primary and secondary research and examining UI/UX for the game. The time commitment for the project will be 4 to 5 weeks or 80 hours. Creativity, collaboration and organization are all skills that will be required for this opportunity.
