Positions available: 5 teams of 5 students

We would like students to help us with creating content that is aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization.

The idea candidate will be able to design and create better lessons, online sessions and worksheets that will help students learn Mathematics better. The candidate will work closely with elementary and high school students to improve their basic Math skills. Interviewing and asking questions to the students to ensure that the students understand the material will be critical to this project. Researching different teaching methods pertaining to online teaching will also help create worksheets that will help students learn various topics.

To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will:

  • Do research pertaining to the teaching of mathematics online
  • Finding different methods to ensure students understand the Math topics that are taught
  • Interview and test students on their Math skills
  • Work on creating worksheets using Word/Google Docs

A student or team with excellent writing, teaching and research skills would be the ideal candidate for this project.

We are looking for 5 teams of 5 students at this time. The students will work 80 hours each (5 x 80 = 400 hours total for the team) over the next 3 to 8 weeks.

Mentorship

Students will work closely with the CEO, Chris Ujimoto, on this project. Students will be contacted through Slack, email, phone calls and Zoom. Students will be given the opportunity to share their ideas with the team.
