EduTutor - Market Expansion Research 23-24

EduTutor is looking to expand to the United States and Western Canada. We have many students around the world but plan on exploring the West Coast. With your help, we hope to assess our customer landscape beyond the demographics we currently cater to by learning about their expectations and behaviors. This will involve several different steps for the students, including:Researching the target market in potential new locations including demographic data such as spending power, proximity, accessibility, and location appeal, and creating a weighted decision matrix to assign importance to each factor.Creating a survey based on the location and demographic information above to be distributed by our company.Analyzing survey data using the weighted decision matrix to decide on the best location options for us to expand to.Compiling a report including the location analysis, and optimal location recommendations.

Website Development

Ofori aims to transform the current website to better align with its mission and customer needs. The project encompasses the following key objectives:Incorporate New Services: Expand the website to include comprehensive information about Ofori's educational services, covering skin bleaching, chemical hair relaxing, colorism, and protective hair styling.Remove Outdated Products: Eliminate product listings no longer offered by Ofori, ensuring the website content accurately reflects the current service portfolio.Blog Integration: Create a dedicated section for blogging, allowing Ofori to share valuable insights, advice, and updates related to the aforementioned topics.Feedback Mechanism: Implement a user-friendly feedback system, enabling visitors to share their thoughts, questions, and concerns directly on the website.

Enhancing Website Based on UX/UI Prototypes

We hope to update and revamp our existing website based on existing UX/UI prototypes that we have designed.We would like to work with participants to develop a new website that is easy to maintain while providing an appealing interface for users. This might be achieved through common site building tools such as WordPress (which we currently use).This will involve several different steps for the participants, including:Developing Frontend and backend, without assistance in providing the content.Frontend- Using React.js, tailwindcss and sass to build the frontend- Calling backend endpoints development by backend devs to communicate with the databaseBackend- Using FastAPI to create backend endpoints- Using pytest to create unit tests for the backend endpoints- Creating documentation for endpoints APIs- Using Pydantic models for response types

Career Resources for High School and Post-Secondary Students

The main goal for the project is to prepare career resources for high school and post-secondary students, including a list of "How to become" resources using templates. This will involve several different steps for the students, including:- Researching various career paths and the necessary steps to enter those fields.- Writing blogs and brochures on "How to become" resources for different career paths.CAYOP will provide students access to some resources, guidelines, and continuous support.
