Project Scope:
Students will:
- Conduct an organizational analysis (SWOT, PESTLE, stakeholder analysis)
- Research sector trends relevant to disability services, social enterprise, and community-based supports
- Engage with Resilient Hearts leadership to understand goals, operations, and target markets
- Develop strategic priorities across key areas such as:
- Service expansion
- Revenue diversification
- Program innovation
- Strategic partnerships
- Branding & outreach
- Capacity-building (staff, tech, facilities)
- Create measurable goals and timelines for each year
- Provide an implementation roadmap with key performance indicators (KPIs) and risk mitigation strategies
Expected Deliverables:
- Three-Year Strategic Plan Document (approx. 20–30 pages) including:
- Executive Summary
- Vision, Mission, and Values alignment
- SWOT/PESTLE
- Strategic goals (Year 1–3)
- Financial sustainability & funding strategy
- Risk management plan
- Monitoring and evaluation framework
- Presentation Slide Deck (for final pitch to Resilient Hearts Leadership)
- Implementation Roadmap (Visual timeline or Gantt chart with annual milestones)
Skills & Learning Outcomes:
Students will:
- Apply strategic planning methodologies in a real-world context
- Develop sector-specific knowledge in nonprofit/social enterprise strategy
- Strengthen project management, consulting, and communication skills
- Learn to co-create with community partners and marginalized groups
Sharing knowledge in specific technical skills, techniques, methodologies required for the project.
Direct involvement in project tasks, offering guidance, and demonstrating techniques.
Providing access to necessary tools, software, and resources required for project completion.
Scheduled check-ins to discuss progress, address challenges, and provide feedback.
