Internship Description
We are currently engaging with industry projects that we need to connect with the right research partner working with a technology matching the industry needs. To achieve this we need your help to assist us with a detailed analysis, flow diagrams of our platform process and the way of processing data.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Research similar applications in IP databases like WIPO.
- Prepare a report of our method of processing data.
- Include details of the data collected and how it is processed.
- Prepare an engineering technical document for preparing to fill a patent
- Review similar patent applications
- Fill the patent application
- Discuss with the board technical details that should be considered in the application
The goal at the end of the internship is to:
- Have our patent application submitted.
Number of required hours per week:
- 20 hours

Deliverables:
- What are your desired deliverables?: Patent application document, Brief on the patent details including an engineering technical document and recommendations.
- What are the tasks you want to complete to produce these deliverables?:
- Review similar patent applications
- Fill the patent application
- Discuss with the board technical details that should be considered in the application
- Apply your knowledge to assess the quality of the application
- Provide advice on the best way to proceed with IP Canada
Weekly sessions with a project supervisor.
