Details

The main goal for this project is to provide learners with the opportunity to shadow and learn live music audio tech skills, work in the studio cleaning/organizing, work on facility upgrades, and plan and run a live music event to demonstrate their new audio teching skills.


This will involve several different steps for the learners, including:


- Shadowing and learning live music audio tech skills from experienced professionals.


- Assisting in cleaning and organizing the studio space.


- Participating in facility upgrades and improvements.


- Planning and running a live music event, including submitting a proposal, creating a poster on Canva, and promoting the event. They will be the live audio tech for this event.


Deliverables

By the end of the project, learners should complete the following tasks:


- Demonstrate understanding of live music audio tech skills through hands-on experience.


- Contribute to the cleanliness and organization of the studio space.


- Assist in facility upgrades and improvements.


- Plan and execute a live music event, including proposal submission, poster creation, and event promotion.



Final deliverables should include:


- A report detailing the experience and audio tech skills gained during the project.


- Documentation of the live music event planning via a proposal, a poster via Canva and the execution process for the event. They will also provide a short write up of things that went well, and things that could be improved for a future planned event.


Mentorship

In support of their project, the student will receive:

  • Weekly mentorship meetings
  • Weekly shadowing of an Audio tech at a live music event
  • Access to digital systems including Canva, Vagaro, Facebook, Instagram
