Details

mu-OS "Moose" is an innovative mobile application designed for the First Nations communities to monitor and interact with their renewable energy systems (eg. rooftop solar) efficiently. Integrating OpenAI's ChatGPT (GPTs) technology, the app aims to provide real-time status updates and statistics of solar energy systems through a user-friendly interface. The project will focus on developing a robust mobile app capable of handling verbal inputs and delivering informative chatbot responses, thereby ensuring accessibility and ease of use for all community residents.

Deliverables

Project Activities:

**Key Features:**

User Interface Design:

Develop an intuitive interface.

Ensure the design is accessible, with easy-to-read fonts and color contrasts.

Incorporate visual elements that reflect First Nations cultural aesthetics.

User Interface App Development:

Build a robust application framework compatible with both iOS and Android platforms.

Implement features like real-time status display (red, yellow, green) for solar systems and basic statistics visualization.

Ensure smooth navigation and responsive design for various device sizes.

Voice to OpenAI Integration:

Integrate OpenAI's ChatGPT for voice recognition and processing.

Develop a conversational AI that can understand and respond to queries about solar system status and performance.

Ensure the AI can handle a range of accents and dialects to accommodate all community members.

Interface with Solar Monitoring/API Development (Extra Credit):

Develop APIs to connect with various solar monitoring systems.

Ensure secure and reliable data transfer between the solar systems and the app.

Provide functionality for users to receive alerts and detailed reports on their solar system's performance.

**Project Team Requirements:**

- UI/UX Designers.

- Software Developers skilled in mobile app development and AI integration.
