planning canva (software) scheduling project proposals marketing spotify soundcloudThe main goal of this project is to create 5-10 artist highlights a week leading up to a show, and to put together a marketing proposal for a future project. This will involve several different steps for the students, including:
- Researching the artists performing at the show.
- Creating artist highlights via Canva for the two shows occurring each week to be posted on Instagram (approx. 5-10 highlights).
- Scheduling the artist highlights to be posted leading up to the weekend using Buffer.
- Creating a marketing proposal for a future project.
- Future project: Curating monthly playlists featuring songs from the artists performing that month.
- Planning how sharing will work: Sharing the playlists on platforms like Spotify or SoundCloud, and embedding or linking to them on Instagram bio or stories.
By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:
- A collection of weekly artist highlights (5-10 a week).
- A marketing proposal for a future project.
- Proposal: Monthly playlists featuring songs from the artists performing that month.
- Links or embeds of the playlists on Instagram bio or stories.
Final deliverables should include
- All artist highlight material.
- A written report for the project proposal.
Weekly synchronous check-ins with supervisor to discuss progress and provide ongoing support. Supervisor will be available to provide more feedback and information asynchronously. The supervisor and teammates will provide specific feedback on the students designs to increase clarity and visual appeal.
